National Crime Agency’s CEOP Command

The internet can be a fantastic place for children and young people where they can talk to friends, be creative and have fun. However, just like in the real world sometimes things can go wrong. If you or your child are worried or upset about something which has happened on the internet there is help out there.

National Crime Agency’s CEOP Command (formerly the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre) works with child protection partners across the UK and overseas to identify the main threats to children and coordinates activity against these threats to bring offenders to account. They welcome reports from anyone with concerns.

Let's keep kids safe online

The NSPCC have joined forces with O2 to help parents explore and understand online life as kids know it.

Their new website offers information and advice and helps parents and carers to stay up to date and keep your child safe in today's digital world. The guide, primarily aimed at parents of 8-12 year olds, explores the social networks, apps or games with an interactive element that children use most frequently.

STOP Terrorists’ & Extremists’

The internet and social media provides many opportunities for those with extreme views to target young or vulnerable individuals. Tackling extremist material is important to protect the public and prevent offences that incite or promote terrorism and extremism.

Police depend on information from the public in their efforts to keep us all safe and they are asking anyone who has concerns about online content to report it by clicking the STOP Terrorists’ & Extremists’ Online button below.
